• About Me

My background is in the fashion and design industries and for the last fourteen years, I’ve worked in the arts and art education sectors.

I’m one half of the artist duo called QUIETBRITISHACCENT, known for our #pennydrops, hand painted pre-decimal pennies left stuck to walls. I work with my husband from our studio and workshop, based in North Devon.

I’m also one of three Directors at Studio KIND. a community interest company situated in Braunton, on the North Devon coast. Studio KIND. presents the work of both local and national, early-career and established artists through an ambitious and diverse programme of exhibitions and events, curated to excite imaginations, challenge perceptions and create connections.

Throughout my creative ventures, sewing has always remained a constant. I started sewing from an early age, getting my first sewing machine when I was thirteen. In 2006 I began making bags, inspired by my love of textiles, trimmings and vintage apparel.

My bags are lovingly crafted in my studio, they take many hours to sew. I source vintage bag frames and design my own handles when I can. I will consider commissions but I usually create a bag and when complete, put it up for sale.
